Human Resources Manager

to oversee and manage all HR operations across the group.

department-of-one

HR role--ideal for a strong HR generalist ready to take the next step into management, own the HR function, and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic clinical environment.

About the Role



The HR Manager is responsible for the full employee lifecycle, supporting 75+ staff across multiple locations and departments. This role combines hands-on administration with people-focused leadership, offering a unique opportunity to shape HR processes for a growing organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & Culture



Serve as the primary HR contact for all staff inquiries and concerns. Foster a positive, supportive, and professional workplace culture. Provide guidance to employees and managers while maintaining confidentiality and fairness.

Recruitment, Onboarding & Training



Manage full-cycle recruitment for clinical, administrative, and support roles. Coordinate new-hire onboarding, orientation, and training schedules. Track licensing, credentials, and continuing education requirements.

HR Administration & Compliance



Maintain HRIS records, personnel files, and organizational documentation. Ensure policies and procedures align with BC Employment Standards and WorkSafeBC. Assist in policy updates, handbook maintenance, and compliance audits. Manage benefits administration, vacation tracking, and employee status changes.

Performance & Workforce Management



Monitor probation periods and performance review timelines. Support managers with performance documentation and coaching processes. Assist with scheduling considerations and workforce planning needs across sites.

Projects & Operational Support



Help streamline HR workflows, SOPs, and systems as the organization continues to scale. Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness initiatives, and internal communications. Participate in organizational planning and HR-related project development.

Qualifications



2-4 years of HR coordination or HR generalist experience. Strong understanding of BC employment legislation and HR best practices. Experience supporting 40+ employees; healthcare or multi-site experience an asset. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle confidential information. Proficiency in HRIS systems and digital documentation tools.
