Our client, a growing organization within the construction industry, is are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team based in Richmond Hill. This role provides full oversight of the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition functions and partners closely with senior leadership to support long-term business growth and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training & development, and employee engagement.
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing and interviewing through offers and reference checks, while building a strong pipeline for future hiring needs.
- Develop and execute recruitment and talent strategies that support business priorities, workforce planning, and diversity goals.
- Partner with leaders and hiring managers to provide guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Design, implement, and manage training and development initiatives aligned with organizational goals and performance gaps.
- Build and sustain a strong workplace culture through engagement initiatives, employee relations support, and internal programs.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives from planning through execution, including timelines, resources, and communication.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian employment legislation through policy, process, and program management.
- Oversee HR administration, including employee records, benefits administration, payroll support, and HR reporting.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters and HR-related inquiries.
- Support internal events, employee programs, and company initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or certification in Human Resources Management.
- 5-7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or managerial capacity.
- CHRP designation preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian employment and labour laws.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and terminations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience supporting multiple managers and teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Microsoft Navision and bilingual French skills are considered assets.
