The Role:
Chai Lifeline Canada is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Human Resources Manager to join our team and help ensure the organization runs smoothly while fostering a positive and supportive workplace.
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing HR-related functions within Chai Lifeline Canada. The Human Resources Manager will work closely with our HR Consultant and with leadership and staff to maintain a culture aligned with Chai Lifeline Canada's core values, ensure compliance with HR policies, and support employee well-being and growth.
What You'll Do:
Manage project timelines and deliverables with the HR consultant.
Collaborate with department directors and the HR consultant to support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate interviews, and the selection processes.
Communicate staff needs, policy updates, and organizational changes to the HR consultant as required.
Serve as a resource for staff on HR-related matters, including policies, benefits, and conflict resolution.
Ensure compliance with federal & provincial labour laws, workplace health and safety regulations, and other applicable standards.
Oversee the implantation of HR policies and procedures, including onboarding & offboarding processes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
Develop and manage the annual HR budget in collaboration with the leadership team.
Organize staff engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and recognition programs to enhance morale and retention.
Assist in creating and maintaining job descriptions for all roles within the organization.
Oversee employee development plans and training programs to promote skill-building and career growth.
Support managers in conducting performance reviews and addressing performance related issues.
Work with the leadership team to ensure consistent and fair performance management practices.
Collaborate with the HR consultant to create strategies for employee growth and organizational development.
How do I qualify?
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Candidates holding CHRP or CHRL designations will be considered an asset.
Five (5) years' experience in a HR Manager role, for a total of eight (8) years' experience in positions related to Human Resources.
Strong understanding of Canadian employment laws and HR best practices.
Ability to identify, prioritize, and manage needs while maintaining confidentiality.
Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Probationary Period: Three (3) Months
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $54,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 24 per week
