Robert Half has partnered with a proudly Canadian, privately owned innovative manufacturing company in hopes of finding their next Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is the go-to person for all employee-related issues. This is a multi-faceted role that would be ideal for a candidate who enjoys working on a variety of activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development and talent management. The HR Manager will ensure a cheerful, productive and collaborative workplace where everyone feels a part of the team and works to realize the established mission and objectives of the company. Responsibilities:
- Oversee HR function to ensure policies and procedures are efficient and being followed
- Training, development, coaching and mentoring
- Employee relations in a union environment
- Employee retention and engagement initiatives
- Supervision of the payroll administration team, HR generalist and recruiting staff
- Fostering a welcoming environment between all staff and management
- Implementing new initiatives to help promote inclusivity and diversity
- Various ad-hoc activities as required

Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in a Human Resources management or senior level role
- Experience working in manufacturing or construction/engineering preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- CHRP or CHRL designation
- Experience with change management
- Experience working in a unionized environment considered an ideal asset
