Job Description

As the HR Manager in a Business Partner role, you will work closely with business leaders to develop and implement people strategies that drive growth, performance, and engagement across the organization. In this strategic role, you will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insight, coaching, and HR expertise to influence decision-making. You'll work to enhance the employee experience, strengthen organizational capability, and support change initiatives.

Hybrid role onsite in Markham Canada 3-4 days per week

Once per month in Mississauga

Responsibilities


Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals, advising on talent management, workforce planning, and succession planning. Partner with leaders to identify talent needs, drive development programs, and support employee growth, retention, and engagement. Lead organizational change initiatives, providing coaching, communication, and training that align with the company's vision and values. Use data and analytics to guide strategic HR decisions, improving metrics such as turnover, employee engagement, and talent acquisition. Ensure compliance with employment laws and support policy rollout and interpretation. Foster a positive work culture through engagement kits, recognition programs, and team building, using feedback to enhance the employee experience. Oversee and manages an Employee Relations team, ensuring consistency in processes, supporting regional needs, and driving the development and execution of ER strategies across various markets. Assist with performance management, including coaching leaders on disciplinary actions and addressing performance concerns effectively. Provide support on the security clearance process and compliance with related requirements.

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR) preferred. 8+ years of HR experience in a business partner or strategic HR role. Secret (Level II) clearance required, can be initiated upon hire. Bilingual in French, strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices. Proven experience in talent management, workforce planning, and change management. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with leaders and employees. Analytical mindset, with the ability to use HR metrics to guide decision-making. Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment while managing multiple priorities.
