JGL Group of Companies is seeking an experienced, people-focused Human Resources Manager to join our People and Culture team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role is responsible for the execution, delivery, and day-to-day management of HR programs and processes across JGL's diverse group of businesses.
The Human Resources Manager plays a critical role in bringing strategy to life. This role is highly collaborative and hands-on, requiring close partnership with leaders and employees across multiple business units, as well as comfort with learning new industries, adapting to different operational environments, and building trusted relationships quickly.

Key Responsibilities
Support full-cycle recruitment across multiple business units, partnering with leaders to understand unique workforce needs and role requirements
Build strong, trusted relationships with leaders and employees across diverse teams, industries, and operational environments
Act as a day-to-day advisor to leaders and managers on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, providing practical, timely, and solutions-focused guidance
Execute onboarding, performance management, employee development, and succession planning initiatives, while contributing to their continuous improvement
Provide hands-on support with employee relations matters, investigations, performance issues, and workplace conflict
Maintain HR policies, programs, and procedures, ensuring consistency while allowing for business unit nuance where appropriate
Collaborate closely with the Director of Human Resources on organizational change initiatives, culture building, and engagement strategies, contributing insights from day-to-day operations
Support compensation, benefits administration, and workforce planning initiatives
Ensure HR practices align with applicable provincial and federal employment legislation across all jurisdictions
Prepare and maintain HR reporting, metrics, and documentation to support data-informed decision-making
Partner with Payroll, Finance, and operational leaders to deliver a consistent and positive employee experience
Ongoing support and end-user training for HRIS and payroll system.
Actively contribute to building, strengthening, and sustaining a positive workplace culture
Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed
Qualifications and Experience
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
CPHR designation or actively working toward completion is strongly preferred
5 to 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or managerial capacity
Experience supporting multiple business units or diverse operational environments is a strong asset
Comfortable learning new industries, asking questions, and adapting HR practices to different contexts
Strong working knowledge of employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions
Demonstrated strength in recruitment, workforce planning, and employee relations
Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Experience HRIS platforms is considered an asset
