As HR Manager, you will support day-to-day HR operations, assist with strategic initiatives, and act as the Executive Director's right-hand person--filling in when needed and ensuring continuity across the department.
What You'll Do
Partner with Leadership
Work directly with the Executive Director of HR, providing support and guidance across all HR initiatives.
Serve as the Executive Director's delegate when they are off-site or working part-time.
Assist with HR projects, strategy, and organizational planning.
Drive HR Excellence
Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
Help maintain clear, fair, and consistent HR policies, ensuring compliance with all legislation.
Guide managers and employees through performance issues, conflict resolution, and employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.
Champion a culture of respect, inclusion, and accountability.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Support the Joint Health & Safety Committee, acting as the certified Employer Member and Chair.
Assist with workplace injury claims, modified work programs, and compliance with OHSA and WSIB regulations.
Participate in workplace investigations, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and proper documentation.
Grow the Organization
Assist with the development and delivery of HR-related training programs (leadership, health & safety, harassment prevention, etc.).
Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and cultural events.
Support HR reporting and analytics to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
CHRP certified, or 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Knowledge of Ontario ESA, OHSA, WSIB, and HR best practices.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
A desire to grow, learn, and take on increasing responsibility in a dynamic HR environment.
