Role Overview
The
HR Manager
will lead the human capital strategy for Corpwell Capital and its portfolio companies. This role is responsible for building HR systems, managing talent acquisition, compliance, employee relations, performance management, and fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Corpwell Capital's long-term growth vision.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Corpwell Capital's business goals and multi-brand expansion.
Act as a strategic partner to leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning.
Establish standardized HR policies across all subsidiaries and franchises.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Lead end-to-end recruitment for corporate, managerial, sales, marketing, legal, and operational roles.
Design structured onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration and performance readiness.
Build talent pipelines for future expansion and franchising needs.
Performance & People Management
Implement performance appraisal systems, KPIs, and feedback frameworks.
Support managers with coaching, conflict resolution, and team development.
Drive employee engagement, retention, and leadership development initiatives.
Compliance & Employee Relations
Ensure full compliance with Canadian employment laws, labor standards, and workplace regulations.
Manage employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and investigations professionally and confidentially.
Oversee employment contracts, contractor agreements, and HR documentation.
Compensation, Payroll & Benefits
Support compensation benchmarking, salary structuring, and incentive programs.
Coordinate with finance on payroll accuracy, benefits administration, and HR budgeting.
Develop performance-linked incentive and commission structures where applicable.
HR Systems & Reporting
Maintain HRIS, employee records, and data confidentiality.
Prepare HR reports on headcount, attrition, hiring metrics, and performance trends.
Continuously improve HR processes, workflows, and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
3+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or managerial roles.
Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
