HUMAN RESOURCE INFORMATION SYSTEM (HRIS) ANALYST,
Department of People & Culture
Southern Alberta Community Living Association (SACLA)
SACLA is seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst to lead the organization's Human Resources, Operational systems and workforce data analytics. Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, this independent, out-of-scope role serves as SACLA's technical authority on ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accurate, integrated, and reliable workforce data to support recruitment, retention, labor relations, health & safety, and operational decision-making.
Positioned at the intersection of People & Culture, Home and Community Supports (Operations), and Finance, the HRIS analyst applies systems thinking and technical expertise to streamline workflows, eliminate duplication of effort, and ensure that leaders have accurate information, supporting effective decision-making for the organization.
Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a bridge between HR, Operations, and Finance, working independently while collaborating across departments.
  • Own, configure, and optimize ADP Workforce Now (HR and Time & Attendance), including coordination with the Humanity scheduling platform and other connected tools.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with ADP and other vendors for system upgrades, enhancements, maintenance, and issue resolution.
  • Establish and maintain HRIS documentation, data standards, reporting definitions, user access, and security permissions, ensuring strong data governance and privacy.
  • Lead system configuration, troubleshooting, testing, validation, and continuous optimization of ADP Workforce Now and related systems.
  • Design and support automated workflows and integrations between ADP, Humanity, recruitment platforms, and other organizational systems.
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics, standard and custom reports, and dashboards (ADP & Excel), translating complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights for leadership, labor relations, and compliance.
  • Analyze workforce trends (turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, and workforce costs) to support workforce planning and hiring effectiveness.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle processes, labor relations activities, and compliance reporting, maintaining strict confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Act as a technical lead or key contributor on cross-functional projects involving HR systems, data, and digital process changes, including new module implementation, requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and post implementation review.
  • Provide technical oversight for SACLA's website content related to careers, recruitment, and HR information, ensuring accessibility, basic security, and timely updates in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, Information
Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an HRIS, systems analyst, or technical HR role.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, system-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to
detail and commitment to confidentiality and data integrity.
  • The ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and communicate data into dashboards and actionable insights.
Assets:
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working with human resource and payroll platforms, such as ADP Workforce Now, to support time and attendance, payroll, and core HR processes.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining HR systems in a unionized environment, ensuring alignment with collective agreements and related policies.
Preferred:
  • Professional designation such as CPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
Conditions of Employment

  • Physically able to periodically lift up to 25lbs.
