Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position plays a key role in the delivery, support and execution of Human Resources activities in support of Cavendish Appetizers including recruiting, labour scheduling, compensation, employee relations and communication strategies. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast paced ever changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy and detail. This highly motivated person will be results orientated and must be also committed to providing dedicated support to all activity throughout the organization.
Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:
\xc2\xb7 Post-secondary education with an emphasis on HR or equivalent experience;
\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 2 years experience in a Human Resource Generalist or payroll role;
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to work well within cross-functional teams;
\xc2\xb7 Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks;
\xc2\xb7 Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
\xc2\xb7 Strong attention to detail;
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
\xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
\xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
\xc2\xb7 Ability to relate to all employees in a positive, constructive and respectful manner
\xc2\xb7 CHRP designation would be considered an asset
Key Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Responsible for hourly payroll submissions and related functions
\xc2\xb7 Recruitment, including job posting, screening, interviewing candidates and job fairs
\xc2\xb7 Onboarding new hires to ensure a smooth employee experience
\xc2\xb7 Maintain employee data in HRIS system and EZ Labour
\xc2\xb7 Assist in schedulng hourly employees for work on a daily basis
\xc2\xb7 Responsible for general receptionist and office management duties
\xc2\xb7 Assist with accounting functions such as preparation of the daily cost reports
\xc2\xb7 Employee relations including benefit and short term disability
\xc2\xb7 Employee communication and correspondence
\xc2\xb7 Assists in implementation and delivery of HR programs and policies
\xc2\xb7 Other HR functions including, but not limited to, employee complaints/concerns, performance incentives, health and safety, disability management, retention, training and development
\xc2\xb7 Support other initiatives as required
