TEKsystems is an Allegis Group company.Position: Reporting to the Global Human Resources Leader, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing HR support to the regional directors, operations team, and internal and external employees. The HR Generalist will be primarily responsible for the administration of TEKsystems\xe2\x80\x99 human resources policies, procedures, and programs in support of internal compliance, and for a broad range of day-to-day human resource functions including employee relations, employee development, and performance management.This role will sit in Mississauga, Ontario.ResponsibilitiesKey Accountabilities and Priorities:

  • Provide HR support to managers including assistance with performance management and employee relations matters
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures, progressive counseling, terminations, and all other human resources practices comply with Federal and Provincial legislation, regulations, and standards
  • Investigate and address employee complaints
  • Collaborate with the Lead HRBP in Canada to proactively identify people trends and needs within Canadian business teams and propose solutions to address gaps
  • Assist with employee offboarding administration and conduct exit interviews with departing internal employees
  • Maintain HR people reporting as assigned and determined necessary by business
  • Provide guidance and support employee leave of absence and accommodation requests
  • Create employment letters, termination letters, and agreements in support of employment conditions changes
  • Maintain accurate and complete employee records within the human resources matter management system
  • Responsible for providing consultation to employees on HR practices, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with the legal, compliance, and HR team members to support HR compliance projects
  • Support HR strategies and other initiatives or projects as assigned.
QualificationsEducation/Background:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or diploma in Human Resources Management
  • CHRP designation or working towards designation would be an asset
  • 1 - 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a Human Resources Generalist, preferably with a focus on employee relations matters
  • Current knowledge of employment law specific to all Canadian provinces.
  • Knowledge of Ontario and Quebec Pay Equity requirements, Employment Equity (Federal Contractors Program) and Francization legislation preferred but not required
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects, be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize appropriately in a fast-paced environment
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be able to represent TEKsystems in a positive and professional manner both internally and externally
  • Ability to respond in a constructive and neutral manner in adverse situations
  • Travel as necessary to Canadian regional offices and corporate headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and experience utilizing a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
