HR Generalist
to join our team based in
London, Ontario
. As a member of the Human Resources team, you are an energetic professional ready to take on new challenges and open to work in a very dynamic environment. As an HR Generalist, you have primary responsibilities in a variety of human resources activities such asemployee relations, HR Compliance, Progressive Discipline, Attendance Management, WSIB Management, and HR project work.
Due to the Human Resources department's interface throughout the facility, the ability to share accurate information, develop positive relationships and foster high customer orientation, adapt, learn quickly and progressively take on new responsibility will be paramount to success in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and support our high performance-driven environment through accessibility, responsiveness, consistent and equitable application of policies and utilization of open-door policy.
Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues and prepare termination/ severance letters.
Conduct employee onboarding and assist with training & development initiatives.
Provide exceptional employee support related to employee concerns and requests, as well as support of labour regulations and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Complete management of WSIB claims, investigating, submitting paperwork/forms, communicating return to work plans, and maintaining correspondence with all parties.
Provide guidance to managers regarding performance management and disciplinary matters.
Support recruitment efforts from screening to interview participation to manager decisions for various roles internally and externally.
Assist in development, change and implementation of HR policies and programs.
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, employee turnover rates, time to hire.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Post-secondary education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
CHRP or CHRL designation preferred or working towards certification
Minimum of 4+ years' experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proven experience in handling and dealing with WSIB matters
Proven experience in conflict resolution and mediation of employee concerns
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Excellent decision making and problem-solving capabilities
Outstanding knowledge on Microsoft Office
(Please note that this is an onsite position based in London, ON. Candidates must be willing to relocate if they are currently residing outside the area.)
