As the sole HR professional at Cyrus Centre, the Human Resources Generalist will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing HR strategies and programs that align with the organization's mission and values. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in building practical and meaningful HR functions from the ground up. This role will be best suited for someone who is a true cross-functional partner and who loves creating solutions that will benefit the organization.
Responsibilities
Strategic HR Development:
Design and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that support organizational growth and employee engagement.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Manage and build full-cycle recruitment processes, ensuring alignment with the organization's values and commitment to youth support.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff, addressing employee concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
Compliance & Record-Keeping:
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations; maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
Performance Management:
Develop and oversee performance appraisal programs that promote continuous improvement and accountability, and align with the Cyrus Centre's values and culture.
Training & Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for staff.
HRIS Management:
Utilize and maintain the HRIS system for efficient HR operations.?
Skills & Abilities
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in HRIS systems; familiarity with HUMI is an asset.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication, problem-solving, resourceful, and organizational skills.
HR Leadership:
coaching, advising and supporting the mission with HR leadership throughout the organization.
Adaptability:
Ability to navigate and lead through organizational growth and change.?
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Certification:
CPHR designation or actively working towards certification.
Experience:
7 years relevant work experience, minimum of 3 years in a generalist HR role, with proven experience building and implementing HR programs.
Faith Commitment:
Must be a practicing Christian, comfortable integrating faith into daily work and decision-making.
Location:
Reside in the Fraser Valley and be available for on-site (Abbotsford or Chilliwack location) work five days a week.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
