Human Resources Coordinator (1-Year Contract. Maternity Leave Cover)

Full Time (Monday to Friday)
As the Human Resources Coordinator, you are self-motivated and collaborative. You enjoy being part of a diverse team working to improve employee relations, and company culture and creating a safe, and efficient working environment for all staff at CBL Bakeries. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations the HR coordinator provides onsite support in a wide variety of human resource matters with a concentration on HR administration, full life cycle recruitment support, training and data entry and benefits support. You will handle highly confidential information and therefore this position requires an individual who can professionally handle sensitive information while demonstrating critical thinking skills.
Here's Who You Are:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
- Background in payroll and benefits administration an Asset.
- 1-2 years of previous HR experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment an asset.
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality.
- Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and experience with NetSuite an asset.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- You thrive on delivering a positive employee experience by collectively supporting the needs of employees, and the business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs.
- Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefits programs, and procedures.
- Support and coordinate full cycle recruitment efforts, advertising open positions, resume screening, interviewing, reference checks etc.
- Develop job descriptions and other related recruitment documents.
- Coordinate the onboarding of new employees including, setting up training with all departments, and completion of new hire paperwork.
- Administer benefits plan including, enrollment, orientation, and administrative changes.
- Assist in the management of Work Safe and disability claims.
- Maintain filing system and records for employee files, correspondence, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Facilitate employee relations, and investigations and promote positive company culture.
- Engages and influences management to support and implement HR initiatives across the organization which promote a unified culture.
- Develop key business reports with detailed analytical data using HR metrics.
- Conducting formal presentations to various audiences (i.e., executive, front-line management, employees) regarding HR strategies, HR business plans, initiatives, policies, and practices.
- Assist in performance management and assist in promoting KPI achievement.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $55,000.00 per year
