As the Human Resources (HR) Consultant, Pay & Client Services, you will be the subject matter expert for key corporate projects for the Division. This position will also collaborate with the leadership team on the Future of Payroll Initiative. Primary duties include:

  • Research and recommend approach on key corporate projects with the management framework and legislative requirements.
  • Coordinate information as it pertains to legislated or general pay issues to all employees in the organization.
  • Recommend solutions to problems and take action to prepare communication strategies.
  • Oversee the implementation of relevant projects to payroll operations and work processes to ensure legislated changes or altered payroll directives are accurate.
  • Provide technical leadership and systems expertise to support process improvement and efficiencies.
  • As a key member of the Divisional Leadership Team, you will provide leadership to the Division as it relates to providing interpretation, direction, change management with a focus on continuous process improvement, compliance, and quality assurance.





Qualifications
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A valid Canadian Payroll Manager (CPM) designation.
  • At least 6 years of related progressive payroll experience.
  • Experience in the following areas is considered to be an asset:
    • Experience in a large multi-union environment.
    • Previous supervisory experience.
    • Experience with change management.
    • Experience with Peoplesoft Human Capital Management (HCM) and time administration.
  • Success in this position requires:

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Position Type: 1 Temporary (up to 24 months)

Location: 800 Macleod Trail SE




Compensation: Level E $80,640 - 121,760 per annum

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.




Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
