Mandatory Requirements:
Proficiency in French and English, spoken and written is mandatory
Strong writing and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & Outlook, as well as adaptability to customized programs
Post secondary diploma in a related field an asset
Valid First Aid & CPR-C certificate
Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (CPIC)
Have a strong work ethic, an open mind, a natural comfort in terms of reception, interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitudetowards teamwork
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent time-management skills, flexibility and experience with scheduling
Current knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA), HR Law, Human Rights, AODA, Occupational Health andSafety, and other legislative requirements
Overview of Responsibilities:
Create and post employment opportunities for a variety of positions on different platforms
Monitor recruitment platforms, review resumes and complete initial screening of applications
Arrange interviews, including setting and confirming appointmentsoParticipate in the conducting of interviews
Review and verify references for external candidates
Provide related data for reporting purposes, as required
Track and update employee certifications for new and existing staff, and assist in employee file maintenance and streamlining
Assist with Employment Contracts and employment letters
Provide support in employee meetings (disciplinary, termination, goal setting, etc.) by taking notes, observing and offering legislative background information, when required
Research advertising venues for ongoing recruitment and external posting of opportunities in the district and provincially (as appropriate)
Assist with benefits and pension new enrolment meetings and processing, and file updates
Maintain positive working relationships with educational institutions, local businesses and integration agencies to promote the hiring of personnel
Collaborate with the development and implementation of policies and procedures
Assess and make recommendations regarding efficiencies and streamlining opportunities for the current hiring processes
Have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Adhere to Magic Triangle policies and procedures, as well as "CCEYA" and Health & Safety
Promotes a work environment aligned with the mission, vision and values of the organization
Other duties as assigned
Ideal candidates will have some education and experience in Human Resource Management or Business. Computer proficiency is essential, and candidates should demonstrate competency in creative problem solving an interpersonal relation, as well as an understanding of Employment Standard Legislation and best practices.
