Purpose of Position:
The HR Business Partner requires extraordinary interpersonal skills and a passion for managing positive working relationships and meeting operational objectives as it relates to talent and recruitment. This fantastic opportunity provides talent acquisition support to multiple sites across Ontario, including recruitment strategy, conducting talent searches, screening calls and regular reporting on talent acquisition metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilizes the applicant tracking system (ATS) to facilitate recruitment activities including screening, interviews, reference checks, job offers and related documentation. In conjunction with the Regional Human Resources Manager and/or Hiring Manager, prepares interview questions and screening tools.
2. Monitors activities and results, providing reports to track KPI\xe2\x80\x99s for Ontario recruitment and hiring trends, implements needs analysis and identifies gaps, trends, and solutions to speed up recruitment time and reduce Days Open for all job requisitions.
3. Researches and recommends the external recruitment advertising strategy and establishes and maintains an appropriate network of recruitment and community partners.
4. Serves as the point of contact for recruitment vendors, career fairs, external agencies, employment services, local colleges and universities in Ontario.
5. Leads the planning, coordination and execution of various recruitment, training and onboarding activities, including events for new property openings, offsite career fairs, information sessions, and local colleges and universities visits.
6. Is a dedicated resource to support Ontario gaming sites vacancies (pre-screen, interview set up/participation).
7. Assists and provides support in setting up and monitoring user activity for the Company\xe2\x80\x99s centralized applicant tracking system (ATS). Creates and maintains job requisitions, job postings, and templates in ATS.
8. Posts job postings in various external job boards, social media platforms and monitors job posting budget, credits and results.
9. Responds to various inquiries from internal and external ATS users to contribute to excellence in their recruitment experience.
10. Provides problem solving and on-going training to on-site Human Resources teams and hiring managers with regard to ATS.
11. Maintains, analyzes and reports on key recruitment metrics and researches and reports of job market trends across the Ontario region, identifying best practices.
12. Drafts and manages standard templates for job postings, job descriptions, and Talent Qualification Interviews for external and internal use.
13. Develops and disseminates all recruitment advertising for Ontario, working with our Marketing team to coordinate with recruitment vendors, including the use of social media outlets and networking tools.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:
- Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Proven high level of Customer Service and relationship management
- Previous Leadership experience
Experience, Training, Certification and Education (demonstrating requirements):
- Minimum of 3-5 years progressive Human Resources experience, focused on talent acquisition and strategy
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in human resources management; CHRP/CHRL designation an asset
- Employee relations
- Identification of issues, recommendation of changes as well as facilitation of recruitment and talent acquisition strategies
- Supports HR processes and maintains accurate documentation for employee and departmental files and information systems
- Exercising due diligence on behalf of the Casino and providing sound and informed advice that is consistent in interpretation and application of policies, procedures, collective agreements, employee handbooks, and employment legislation, as it relates to the Talent Acquisition practice.
- General knowledge of Human Resources theories, practices, legislation and resources
- Knowledge and experience using ATS, HRIS software and social media platforms
- Comfortable problem solving on their own and providing sound advice despite multiple interruptions
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities from different gaming sites
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
- Ability to successfully pass a Security Screening
