We are looking for an experienced_
Human Resources Business Partner
_to join us on-site at our location in Puslinch, ON. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President and will be responsible for all activities related to Human Resources, including recruitment, policy development and interpretation, legislative compliance, and employee relations matters. This individual will also work with the management group to administer the company's health and safety programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Act as a trusted advisor and provide sole day-to-day HR support to 2 business locations; responding to HR matters with a sense of urgency, while supporting timely and good quality decision making
Provide strategic counsel to the management and supervisory teams on all HR related matters
Partner with leadership to drive organizational change and ensure smooth implementation of new processes and initiatives
Collaborate with managers and supervisors and lead HR processes related to employee relations, including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective counseling and employee performance evaluations
Develop, review and interpret company policies; work with all departments to ensure the company operates in alignment with all policies, legislative requirements and employment law practices
Execute full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for both office and manufacturing plant positions
Provide HR administrative support for full life cycle of employment. This may include managing immigration program processes, etc.
Lead HR administration for related programs including employee benefit program, disability management, WSIB administration, training and development, employee engagement, etc.
Build effective business relationships with all departments and leaders to understand their operational needs and provide strategic support and guidance
Track and report various HR and health and safety metrics
Administer health and safety programs, policies, and training
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field. Equivalent working experience will be considered
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Generalist and/or Business Partner role; experience as the sole HR contact considered a strong asset
Minimum 2 years' HR experience in a manufacturing role
Possess strong base of knowledge surrounding current employment practices, ESA legislation, Human Rights Code requirements, and labour market trends
Motivated, detail oriented and organized, with a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize
Possess good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); MS Access exposure is an asset
Strong verbal and written communicator
Possess a positive attitude and work well in a team environment
