Position: Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Mississauga
Salary: $80K to $90K per year
Job Type: Permanent

We are looking to hire a Human Resources Business Partner for a fast-growing client in the healthcare/medical supplies industry. This position reports to the Human Resources Director and works closely with the Managers and employees in their client groups, as well as the Human Resources and Senior Management team members.

Responsibilities:

- Promoting, communicating, and implementing Human Resources programs and initiatives
- Actively participating in and representing the Human Resources Department in business and operational meetings
- Assessing the short and long-term business needs of their client group and providing operational generalist HR support to meet those needs
- Working closely with their client groups to identify recruitment opportunities
- Overseeing the entire hiring process, including recruitment, orientation and onboarding, and ensuring new employees are equipped with the necessary tools to succeed
- Creating and managing employment contracts and approvals for new hires, contract renewals for current employees and provide guidance on third-party contracts
- Managing the off-boarding process, including conducting exit interviews
- Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, recognition and retention
- Guiding Managers on employees' compensation by assisting in the development of compensation and recognition practices to ensure wage increases are appropriate and administered correctly
- Coordinating the performance review process with the Management team
- Collaborating with the leadership team to create, review and implement performance improvement plans, performance management plans and terminations, where necessary
- Working with the business to identify team members with high potential and develop career paths in consideration of key roles for succession planning and self-development
- Developing and implementing employee development, training and coaching systems
- Collaborating in the deployment of the Corporate Health and Safety action plan
- Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation, employment law, Human Rights, etc.
- Tracking metrics and analyzing trends in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies
- Initiating and leading projects which enhance organizational practices, facilitate organizational goals, action organizational changes or maintain legislative compliance
- Acting as the subject matter expert with Manager for Human Resources Information System
- Executing other duties as assigned

Qualification and Skill Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
- At least 5 years experience working in an intermediate Human Resources/generalist role
- CHRP designation, preferred
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven experience in an HR Generalist role and exposure to: full cycle recruitment, performance management, employment relations, organizational development, exit practices, succession and talent management, capability to manage and deliver projects
- Strong ability manage change, influence, negotiate, and build partnership with managers/client groups
