RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting local recruitment efforts and liaison with the business and the corporate recruitment team
Responsible for all onboarding processes, including leading orientation sessions and new hire data collection,
Compile and maintain employee records and documentation
Manage employee change of status
Test new HRIS software
Provide reporting requirements as required
Partner with centralized payroll to ensure hourly data and pay changes are accurately captured
Responsible for benefit inquiries and communication of benefit plans, disability management and working with benefit providers
As part of a team, work on policy documentation, employee handbooks, and other HR communications
Deliver HRIS training on new system requirements to stakeholders
Assist as required with manager, supervisor and employee training on HR and other topics as assigned
Partner with the business to deliver on action items related to engage all employees in a safe and positive work environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
A post secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field
Five or more years experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office, with effective and accurate administrative abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills with leadership experience in leading presentation, training sessions and meeting
Familiar with Employee Standards and payroll legislation in AB and ON
A self-starter with established interpersonal and problem solving skills
