Are you passionate about Human Resources (HR) and ready to make an impact? Look no further! Women's College Hospital is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Assistant (HRA) to join our team. The HRA is an integral part of our team exercising sound judgement and independence while managing day-to-day human resources and talent acquisition activities.



What You'll Do:



Provide front line HR support for current and potential employees in person, over email and phone, responding to general inquiries and making decisions related to escalation and delegation of complex inquiries. Assist in the talent acquisition process including posting roles, screening, setting up interviews, submitting and tracking Reference and Criminal Records Checks etc. Prepare offers, transfers and contract extension letters. Support the collection of new hire documentation and the creation of new hire folders. Complete data entry on respective systems i.e., New Hires into Dayforce, HOOPP, eLearning. Assist with the pulling and dissemination of various reports and data i.e., performance reviews, credentialing lists etc. Attend HR Team meetings and huddles, preparing and distributing agendas and meeting minutes. Maintain departmental communications and documentation including Intranet, New Employee Portal, and internal client listings. Support and complete HR projects as assigned.

What You'll need:



Undergraduate Degree in a recognized Human Resources program. Two (2) years of experience in a Human Resources department with previous health care or broader public sector experience in HR preferred. Certified Human Resources Professional designation (CHRP) an asset. Knowledge of recruitment practices in a unionized environment. Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external customers and deal with constant interruptions. Demonstrated expertise in the use of MS Office technologies including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint. Strong ability to build and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships and be an effective team player. Experience with content management systems (ModX, Clarity, SharePoint), preferred. An understanding of collective agreements and relevant legislation (ESA, Human Rights Code, Ontario Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.). Proven ability to prioritize duties/projects, multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment with constant demands. This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all.
