Position Summary
Reporting to the VP Human Resources, this position is responsible for providing HR support on all personnel matters. This role will support both employees and managers, responsible for ensuring that Company HR matters are in line with Company policies and procedures while maintaining adherence to the Canada Labour Code and other applicable employment legislation.
This role will provide general confidential support to staff and management as required, including assistance regarding benefits, policy interpretation and problem resolution, along with all other support as needed. The incumbent will be responsible for day-to-day HR duties such as, but not limited to: HRIS management and support, responding to employee questions and inquiries, managing benefits correspondence, completing internal Company investigations, and all other HR support as required.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Manage and maintain HRIS system, including employee personnel files
Provide assistance pertaining to employee inquiries and concerns
Coordinate employee leaves and return to work programs
Benefits administration and processing
WCB/WSIB correspondence and management
Assist in the completion of Annual Employment Equity Report
Assist with performance management in a timely and accurate manner
Assist in preparation of employment letters and other required employment documentation
Provide service to internal and external customers on all HR inquiries and requests
Perform additional duties as assigned
Conduct exit interviews
Make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures and regulations

Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications
Post-secondary education in Human Resources
CPHR designation or actively working towards
2 to 3 years' experience in a Human Resources support or advisor role
Experience administering policies and procedures
Experience maintaining an HRIS system preferred
Knowledge of Canada Labour Code considered an asset
Experience with benefits administration
Experience with WCB/WSIB administration
Strong knowledge of office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
Must possess a valid driver's license
Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
Working Conditions
Physically able to perform all listed job duties
Travel by flight required to our operational bases, and other needs determined by the company 25% of the time
Work performed primarily in an office environment
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephone
Attend and participate in offsite company interested events
After hours support as needed
