We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Human Resources professional to join our team at the Administration Office in the west end of Edmonton. This is a brand new position in the HR Department.
Position Overview
As the Human Resources Administrator, you will report directly to the Human Resources Manager and will be primarily responsible for the administrative, and transactional functions of the human resources department. The HRA will be responsible for managing HR documents, assisting with maintaining compliance with policies and procedures and assist with maintaining our Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Dayforce.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare various HR documents, including new hire packages, offers of employment, compensation lists, and more
  • Support the new hire onboarding process as required
  • Notify the IT Department of all new hires/transfers/title changes for system changes
  • Order business cards for new hire
  • Organize and maintain personnel records and update employee information in our HRIS (Dayforce)
  • Maintenance of current records and organization of physical record storage for the entire HR Department ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Provide assistance in the administration, development and revision of policies, procedures, and internal programs
  • Assist with various types of communication and correspondence: reference checks, employment verifications and HR-related inquiries
  • Prepare and compile weekly/monthly reports to identify employee metrics
  • Set up secondary worksites in Dayforce for travelling employees
  • Process expense claims for travelling employees
  • Thoroughly monitor probationary periods, benefits, and evaluation dates while maintaining accurate records
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • A post-secondary diploma or certificate in Human Resources Management and/or a minimum of three years experience working in office administration or human resources administration
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism is off the utmost importance
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal interactions
  • Proficient in gathering data from various sources, analyzing it, preparing reports, and providing recommendations
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, weighing risks and impacts to determine appropriate solutions
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing frequent interruptions, and shifting deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency in utilizing all Microsoft Office applications
