Aqua-Tots Swim Schools is now hiring a Human Resources Specialist that will either be based in our Kanata or Orleans location. We are looking for a fun, friendly, and outgoing individual who would love working in a family environment. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience and 1 year of human resources experience. However, candidates with exceptional customer service skills and a passion for human resources are welcome to apply. Human Resource Specialist Job Responsibilities and Requirements are as Follows:
Maintain job postings on Indeed.
Review incoming resumes and highlight qualified candidates to appropriate manager.
Conduct phone screens and reference checks.
Schedule interviews
Prepare employee contracts, working with third party human resources company if necessary. This involves preparing disciplinary and other related HR documentation as required.
Add new employees to company software systems.
Set up new employees in internal and external training programs and ensure completion.
Create welcome packages
Responsible for onboarding oversight.
Utilize intermediate level computer skills for Microsoft Word, Excel and other software systems.
Strong attention to detail to process payroll bi-weekly.
Relate well to team members and have superior interpersonal skills.
Conduct exit interviews and prepare reference letters as needed.
Take part in Health and Safety Committee by attending regular meetings and conducting regular safety assessments.
Maintain and track Health and Safety training records.
Prepare Wage increase letters.
Take part in external job fairs.
Understand Client Care tasks and assist client care operations (4-8 hours/week)
Flexible schedule - candidates must have some availability to work weekdays between 9am - 8pm and/or weekends (8am - 5pm)
Attend team meetings and in-service training.
Must pass a background check.
High school diploma required with some university or college coursework preferred but will train the right person with a combination of work experience and completed courses.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
