Job Description

Executek International is looking to hire a Human Resource Recruiter for their mid-sized security firm in Downtown Toronto. The HR Recruiter will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment by developing cost-effective recruitment strategies for building a diverse pipeline of top candidates to fulfill vacancies for a number of clients as well as providing and coordinating all recruitment activities, training programs, health and safety initiatives, employee relations and benefits enrolment. The ideal candidate takes strong initiative and is extremely organized with previous knowledge of HRIS systems. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Full cycle recruitment of full-time, part-time and contract employees including developing job postings/ads, sourcing candidates, pre-screening, interviewing and reference checking. Develop cost-effective and creative sourcing strategies to continually build a diverse pipeline of top candidates. Stay current with industry and staffing trends and compensation data. Proactively source passive candidates through a variety of channels including social media. Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all candidates to keep them engaged through the hiring process. Build strong relationships with key managers to partner in recruitment initiatives and provide high-quality candidates to help drive business results. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders including a high level of communication on the process and status of open positions. Continually build brand awareness in the market by holding and attending career fairs. Develop and nurture relationships with Community Colleges as a recruitment avenue. Provide administration and coordination for all recruitment activities Conduct new hire orientation & training Ensure all employee files are up to date - including updating active and inactive employees Work in compliance with Executek's policies and procedures Participate in all required training and certification programs Comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to the Insurance Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Accessibility with Ontarians with Disabilities Act Other reasonable duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the business

Qualifications

1 - 3 years of high volume full-cycle recruitment experience. Possess a professional Human Resources designation or Graduate of a Human Resources Program Previous experience in the security field would be an asset. Self-starter, with strong initiative. Highly organized. Strong decision-making skills. Desire and ability to 'think out of the box' and execute creative and pro-active sourcing strategies for difficult to fill positions. Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship, time management, and networking skills. Skilled at working under pressure with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work with tight timelines and deadlines. Working knowledge of employment-related legislation across Canada. Ability to work effectively in an independent role within a team environment across all organizational levels, where collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility are critical. Strong proficiency in MS office applications. Ability to produce recruitment reports as required.
