POSITION SUMMARY With a high attention to detail and exemplary initiative, the HR Coordinator is responsible for the administration and coordination of all HR and payroll related activities within Mobis. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that data within the HRA department is accurate and timely, to enable effective processing of pay and benefits and to allow for up to date management reporting. Additionally, the HR Coordinator provides support in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, health and safety and records retention.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Administration

  • Support the HRA department\'s effectiveness by providing assistance for programs and activities including recruitment, training administration, and other HR & Admin related projects
  • Provide effective communication and distribution of information, and escalating issues as necessary for resolution
  • Remain current with legislation and leading best practices in HR, taking the initiative to recommend changes that will improve existing systems and processes
  • Ensure professional and positive customer service delivery across all levels of the organization
  • Conduct new employee orientations and presentations ensuring all on-boarding documents are completed
  • Responsible for coordinating corporate employee events such as service awards, birthdays, holiday parties, baseball team, etc.
  • Provide back up support to Receptionist as required

Payroll & Benefits
  • Assist with bi-weekly and monthly payroll process ensuring data accuracy, integrity and maintenance of documents
  • Help prepare payroll summaries, remittances and other relevant reports in a timely manner
  • Work with Finance team to balance payroll accounts to the general ledger
  • Assist with company\'s benefit plans including but not limited to health and dental, STD, LTD, benefit claims, life insurance, etc.
  • Maintain records for RRSP enrollments, liaise with service providers relating to benefits and RRSP programs
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, sick/personal leave, vacation, etc., and assist employees in completing paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • Minimum 1 year HR Coordinator/Generalist experience
  • Degree in HR or related discipline
  • Working toward or attainment of CHRP designation
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, juggling multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with others at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership and initiative
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Ability to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
  • Ability to research, compile and analyze data/information
