A "Roving Traffic Watch Personnel" position generally involves monitoring client roadways to identify and address potential safety hazards, maintenance issues, and traffic-related problems. These personnel may also be tasked supporting clients with road blocking on private property

Directly reporting to: Station Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities
Monitoring and Inspection: Regularly
monitor assigned client roadways, identifying and reporting maintenance deficiencies, debris, and other hazards.
Incident Response:
Report traffic incidents, providing assistance and managing traffic flow.
Safety and Security: Monitor
for suspicious activity and potential safety threats and report any concerns.
Crime Prevention: Contribute
to crime prevention efforts by monitoring roadways and assisting with investigations.
Documentation: Maintain
records of inspections, and incidents
Additional Responsibilities (depending on specific role):
Maintenance Tasks:
Perform minor repairs or maintenance tasks as needed, such as patching potholes or removing debris.
Traffic Control:
Assist with traffic control during incidents, construction, or events.
Logistical Support:
Assist with the operation and maintenance of vehicles or equipment.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with other personnel, dispatch, and the public.
Employee Safety Responsibilities
Be familiar with and work in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
Take reasonable care to use safety and personal protective equipment as required by health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
Report to HSE Integrated supervision and management immediately any incident or condition believed to be hazardous to worker's health or safety
Refuse the work if danger is imminent or not controlled
Required Qualifications
Driving:
Ability to operate vehicles and be comfortable driving in various conditions.
Observation:
Strong observational skills to identify potential issues and hazards.
Communication:
Good communication skills for interacting with other personnel and the public.
Problem-solving:
Ability to assess situations and identify appropriate solutions.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to perform tasks that may require physical exertion.
Certifications/Qualifications
A valid, unrestricted Driver's License
(Please note, a valid license does not include a Learner's Permit or Graduated License)
A Driver's Abstract indicating an unrestricted license with no serious traffic safety violations and 4 or less convictions of any type in the last 36 months (Drivers abstract required).

Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
