Primary Care Paramedics
for casual shift/rotational work for work sites in Alberta. We're looking for skilled professionals with a background in emergency response. By joining our roster, you'll be the first in line when projects arise, giving you the opportunity to work with a leader in industrial safety service
Position Benefits
Consistent work on a rotational schedule
Paid per hour in accordance with normal daily/weekly overtime legislation; we do not use Oilwell Servicing exemptions to average overtime
All other employee pay components are in accordance with provincial employment standards

Responsibilities
Provide a quick response to medical emergencies in an industrial setting
Assess and attend to patient's injuries; determine a course of treatment
Provide first-aid or support to injured workers
Effectively communicate status and next steps of the injured worker to emergency services
Clean and decontaminate vehicles (mobile treatment center) and/or clinic area and maintain areas in a state of operational/medical readiness
Ensure all reporting and communication requirements are adhered to regarding incidents, injuries and treatment
Maintain confidential patient medical documentation and reports as per governing body requirements
Qualifications
Registration as a Primary Care Paramedic with the Alberta College of Paramedics
H2S Alive
CPR - Health Care Provider (HCP) or Basic Life Support (BLS)
Non GDL Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's License; Class 4 if working in BC for forestry work
Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
Personal Characteristics
Highly skilled and well known for bringing order to chaos; especially when patients are scared, in pain or shock from an injury.
Caring yet take control type of personality. The ability to take a calm and logical approach to emergency situations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Functional knowledge of computer operations, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Effectively organize and prioritize situations and activities ranging from urgent patient care issues to routine office and clinic duties
Reliable, dependable, and capable of working in a fast-paced team environment
Able to travel via motor vehicle and air transport
Other Requirements
Physical demands of the role include lifting up to 50 kilos.
Proof of registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics is required.
Driver's abstract required showing 4 or less infractions in the last three (3) years
Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
