About the Opportunity



A combination of organic business growth and personnel shift in responsibilities has led us to seek an applicant related full-time HSE manager position. Our business activities have primarily revolved around the supply of wholesale fuels (Gasolines and Diesels), across several sales channels in Saskatchewan. Successful applicants will be become a central part of our operations and crucial to our team. With a dynamic office environment this position will provide administrative, compliance, and training support to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications, Skill and Requirements:



Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent combination of post-secondary education, trade certification or training and work experience

CRSP or CSP certified or equivalent

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the Health and Safety field

Comprehensive working knowledge of OH&S Act & Regulations

Have broad knowledge of Federal, Provincial and municipal government Health & Safety Acts, Policies, Regulations, and Industry Standards as they apply to the petroleum industry

Exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written

Be a results-oriented leader capable of working productively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Exceptionally detail orientated individual

Experience with workplace safety management procedures & protocol is an asset

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Microsoft Edge.

Skills and Requirements



Position Responsibilities Include

:

Develop and implement a road Safety Management System (SMS) for bulk fuel and propane delivery Develop and implement health, safety, environment, and compliance policies and procedures in accordance with industry regulations and company standards. Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the various programs. Develop and implement an Environmental Management and Sustainability System and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for both systems Develop and implement a Quality Management System for inspection and test of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC) and inspection and test of bulk fuel highway tanks. Develop and implement a Hazardous Substances Management Plan. Maintain the company Transport Canada registration for highway tanks as per CSA B-620. Maintain the company Transport Canada registration for Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC) as per CGSB 43.146. Maintain the company Transport Canada registration for external visual inspection of propane tanks as per CSA B-339 Ensure Transport Canada Equivalency Certificates are kept current and complied with. Ensure Transport Canada Emergency Response Assistance Plan (ERAP) for propane is kept current and complied with. Ensure E2 plans filed with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) are kept current and complied with. Provide yearly case scenario tabletop exercises to ensure compliance to the plans. Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plans (ERP), Fire Safety Plans (FSP) and Spill Response Plans (SRP) are current and complied with. Provide yearly training. Develop and maintain Traffic Safety Plans and Fuel Management Plans. Ensure they are current and complied with. Develop and maintain company policies as required. Ensure that preregistration platforms such as ISN are maintained and in compliance including RAVS, statistical information and insurance documents. Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards, risks, and non-compliance issues. Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential occupational health and environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies. Coordinate and facilitate safety meetings, training sessions, and workshops to educate employees on best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for preventative measures and corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, permits, licenses, and certifications related to health, safety, environment, and compliance. Monitor and analyze safety and environmental key performance indicators (KPI), identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance overall safety culture and environmental sustainability. Liaise with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and external stakeholders to stay updated on evolving health, safety, and environmental standards and requirements. Regulatory inspections are scheduled, properly performed and required follow up with the various departments is conducted in a timely manner. Manage the reporting and documentation of incidents, injuries, and compliance data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality. Foster a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and compliance through communication, training, and recognition programs. Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Provide guidance and support to employees, supervisors, and managers regarding health, safety, environmental, and compliance matters.
