:Wood is currently recruiting an HSEQ Advisor to join our Operations Americas team, this is a full-time permanent position supporting Eastern Canada based in St. John's NL, Canada.Within this role the HSEQ Advisor is responsible for supporting the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality function within the organization. This role aims to ensure compliance with relevant external regulations, internal company requirements, maintain HSEQ documentation, and assist in the implementation of HSEQ initiatives to promote a safe and sustainable working environment.Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.   • Management of all aspects of HSEQ Assurance across the Eastern Canada business
  • Proactively maintain and promote a safe working environment and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct regular HSEQ inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and compliance within regulatory requirements
  • Providing support to senior Managers in incident and accident investigations through the use of an appropriate Investigation processes
  • Maintenance of HSEQ risk and compliance registers
  • Providing support to Managers and HSEQ team in the development and roll-out of Group HSE objectives and other initiatives
  • Coordinate training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of HSEQ standards and requirements
  • Provides independent verification that actions taken to close actions raised from auditing activities are effective and sustainable
Qualifications:
  • Candidates require a Technical Diploma, Business/Commerce Degree, or an Engineering Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Engineers must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • 5+ years of related work experience accepted, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Lead Auditor ISO 9001
  • Understanding of HSEQ principles and objectives
  • Current authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
