Job Description

Position Summary

The HRIS Business Analyst serves as the primary liaison between HR functional teams, IT, and system vendors to optimize and support the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, configuring system solutions, managing data integrity, supporting reporting and analytics, and ensuring efficient HR technology operations that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Support



Maintain and support HRIS modules (e.g., Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Performance, Learning, Compensation). Configure system updates, workflows, and security settings in accordance with HR and IT standards. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues; escalate to vendors when necessary. Manage system testing for upgrades, patches, and new implementations.

Business Analysis & Process Improvement



Gather, document, and analyze HR business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Partner with HR leaders to streamline and automate HR processes through technology solutions. Identify and recommend process and system improvements for greater efficiency and user experience.

Data Management & Reporting



Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across HR systems. Develop and deliver regular and ad-hoc HR reports and dashboards for management decision-making. Support data audits, system reconciliations, and compliance reporting (EEO, ACA, etc.).

Project Management



Participate in HRIS projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and implementations. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope. Develop test plans, perform user acceptance testing (UAT), and support change management and training.

User Training & Support



Provide end-user training, documentation, and support for HRIS functionalities. Act as a subject matter expert for HR technology tools and best practices.
Qualifications

Education & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in HRIS administration, business analysis, or HR technology support. Experience with major HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, ADP, or similar).

Skills & Competencies



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in HR data reporting and analytics tools. Knowledge of HR processes and data (e.g., employee lifecycle, compensation, benefits, performance). Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications



HRIS certification (e.g., Workday Pro, SAP SuccessFactors Certification, or similar). Experience with HR integrations, APIs, or middleware. Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
