About this opportunity

Our client is one of the world\'s leading insurance management company. They are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual for the position of Manager for their Captive and Commercial team in their Bermuda office. Reporting directly to the Director of Client Services, the successful applicant will have a strong sense of accountability and will be responsible for providing management oversight to a portfolio of (re)insurance clients, as well as providing all aspects of the day to day management services to key and complex clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide management oversight to a portfolio of (re)insurance clients, including review of all client deliverables
  • Review and assist with the coordination of all BMA filings, including SFR/BSCR and related filings
  • Assist Senior Management with new business opportunities, including the preparation of service proposals and presentations to prospective clients
  • Managing workload allocations and providing supervisory support to a team of account executives including performance management and building an effective team dynamic within the company
  • Provide accounting and administrative support for a portfolio of complex (re)insurance companies
  • Review client management accounts and IFRS/GAAP financial statements
  • Liaise with client personnel and service providers
  • Review meeting materials and make presentations at client meetings
  • Actively participating in internal change management and Target Operating Models of Operations, Sales, Talent and GRC initiatives
  • Other ad-hoc projects as required
What you\'ll need
  • ACA, CA, CPA or ACCA professional accounting qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience within the Re/Insurance industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP including an excellent understanding of insurance and investment accounting standards
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bermuda insurance market and regulatory environment is advantageous
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of risk-based reporting regimes
  • Advanced computer literacy skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrable ability to manage small teams, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Motivated individual who is deadline driven and committed to delivering an excellent level of client service
  • Coaching, training and career development of junior staff experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
  • Demonstrable career progression in previous roles \xe2\x80\x93 prior management experience advantageous
  • Experience working with SunSystem and Spanish language skills are advantages but not required
