The HR Representative plays a key role in supporting employee relations, compliance, performance management, reporting, recruitment, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your HR expertise while contributing to meaningful initiatives across the organization.


Specific Accountabilities

HR Operations & Support




+ Provide support to employees through the disability management process. + Support HR Consultants with disciplinary processes.
+ Participate in onboarding and orientation processes.
+ Support miscellaneous letter requirements and job description development.

Metrics, Reporting & Compliance




+ Track and report HR metrics, including executive and board-level reporting. + Conduct research on HR legislation and compliance requirements.
+ Maintain HR SharePoint content and support policy communication and education.
+ Lead the annual HR Effectiveness Survey and contribute to employer submissions.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition




+ Lead student and co-op recruitment programs and support career fair participation. + Collaborate on Indigenous employment initiatives and scholarship programs.
+ Assist in the management of day-to-day recruitment activities in the HRIS Recruiting Portal.
+ Coordinate job postings, approvals, and candidate communications.
+ Support hiring managers and union selection committees through consistent and compliant hiring practices.

Knowledge and Skills Required




Diploma in Human Resources or related field with 3+ years of HR experience (equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered). Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems. Knowledge of Canada Labour Code, PIPEDA, and collective agreements. Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion. Willingness to travel occasionally for recruitment events. CPHR designation is an asset.
