Reporting into the HR Operations manager, you will play a big part in the day to day of the operations team in Canada. Supporting employees, managers and the HR team, everyday will be different and provide a new challenge. You will be responsible to coordinate and deploy strategic and HR projects and initiatives. Day in the life: A typical Monday starts with a quick touchpoint with the plant management team to go over the plan for the week, address any employee relations issue and review our workforce planning needs. An employee might come in unannounced with a question on benefits or their latest paystub. Then, a quick tour in the plant to congratulate an employee on their work anniversary and check in on the new recruit that started in the morning. You\xe2\x80\x99ll finish your tour stopping by the supervisor\xe2\x80\x99s office to help him and answer his questions on our new HR information system. The day will end with updating our employee handbook with our latest policy on attendance. Job description :
  • Provide expertise in the following areas: workforce planning, H&S, career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development.
  • Foster genuine relationships with all plant employees as well as business leaders across the organization.
  • Work closely with Ontario to Support and lead some Health & Safety programs (including the joint health and safety committee, monthly facility inspections, investigation reports, WSIB case management etc.)
  • Support payroll and benefits administration using our brand new HRIS System : UKG
  • Facilitate training and development programs for the facility.
  • Work closely with the Plant Managers to coach and develop the management team.
  • Provide the necessary support to HR team members in various processes and activities (performance management, employee surveys, trainings, exit interview, etc)
  • Prepare and document various processes (training guides, handbooks, policies)
  • Perform a variety of admin tasks such as running reports, preparing and translating various communications, prepare employee documents such as contracts, confirmations, etc)


Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • 4+ years human resources generalist experience.
  • Knowledge of Quebec and Ontario legislative requirements.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual (English is required in order to service our customers and suppliers based in the United States and outside Quebec).
  • H&S experience.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationships and influence skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, "Out of the Box" and innovative thinking.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple functions and manage time efficiently.
  • Must be a \xe2\x80\x9croll up your sleeves\xe2\x80\x9d type who is focused on implementation and achieving results.
  • Proficiency with HCM systems.
  • Action oriented, stellar work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence.
