HR Intern
If you are in a Human Resources Management program with a Field Placement component, a passion for non-profit, and a desire to gain hands-on day-to-day HR experience, then we want to hear from you! Responsibilities
Provides administrative support to the People & Culture department with programs such as employee engagement surveys, training and development, wellbeing, performance management
Assists with the recruitment process including posting open positions on relevant job sites, collating applications, drafting interview guides, booking interviews, checking prospective employee references
Provides support during the onboarding and offboarding process for employees
Updates and works with a number of HR systems including the Learning Management System,
Engagement Surveys, and Applicant Tracking System
Tracks and files relevant documents in physical and digital employee files and tracks the completion of mandatory training by employees
Participates in HR programs and projects by gathering information, developing presentations and coordinating meetings
The successful candidate will have:
Enrolled in a postgraduate program in Human Resources Management or related field
Superior technical skills including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and databases
Provides professional and exceptional customer service
A high degree of confidentiality, as an HR Professional, when handling sensitive information
Growth mindset, curiosity and willingness to accept new perspectives
Passion as a team player and contribute to the People & Culture department and the School
Job Type: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $18.50 per hour
