As the parent company to Hemingway's and The Pilot, two iconic Yorkville establishments, One Duck Hospitality plays a key role in Toronto's hospitality community.
Key Duties Responsibilities
Recruitment & OnboardingManage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation
Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and first-day readiness
HR Administration & RecordsMaintain accurate and confidential employee records within the HRIS
Track and manage employee certifications and training
Manage and monitor employee work permits to ensure ongoing compliance
Support audits and reporting related to employee data
Benefits AdministrationAdminister all employee benefits such as Extended Health Benefits, RRSP Matching Program and Employee Assistance Program (EAP), including enrolments, changes, and terminations
Act as a point of contact for all employee benefit inquiries
Track benefit eligibility and support leave-related documentation
HR Operations Support and Employee RelationsRespond to general HR questions from employees and managers
Provide ongoing administrative support to the One Duck Hospitality Group as it relates to people operations
Provide HR guidance and consultation to managers
Participate in employee meetings related to discipline, performance management, and terminations
Manage employee terminations from an administrative and coordination perspective and coordinating final pay and off boarding
Support workplace health and safety programs across all restaurant locations
Support incident reporting and documentation in collaboration with management
Manage WSIB-related documentation and reporting as required
Manage leaves and Return-To-Work plan and documentation

Qualifications & Experience1-5 years of experience in an HR or people operations role
Hospitality experience an asset
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field preferred
Experience working with HRIS and employee data systems
Google Suite experience
