Job Summary:



The HR Generalist supports and implements effective and efficient human resources initiatives. The HR Generalist collaborates with the Human Resources team and the broader organization to foster a progressive, productive, and engaged workforce with a client-focused culture aligned with the organization's mission, vision, values and strategic plan.



Job Specific Responsibilities:



Reporting to Manager, Human Resources, the HR Generalist will focus on a wide range of initiatives for employees and volunteers, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, systems infrastructure and HR administration.



Human Resources and Volunteer Services Responsibilities:



Collaborates with partners in a customer-centric Human Resources services model. Demonstrates ownership in the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding of talent while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Participates in the development and maintenance of recruitment and retention strategies to attract talent. Supporting the onboarding, management and offboarding of the organization's volunteers and students, in collaboration with operational leadership as required. Works with Manager of Human Resources to support an effective employee relations and performance management process in line with the organization's policies and procedures. Engages talent at all levels to promote a positive employee experience, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace. Analyzes employee feedback and makes recommendations for improvements. Maintains and implements Human Resources systems and processes with a focus on data integrity and enhancing HRIS system capability. Acts as the main point of contact for system troubleshooting, module management and employee data management. Participates in human resource programs such as but not limited to training and development, innovation, and employee recognition in a way that supports internal equity and engagement. Perform regular reviews of the human resources and OH&S policies and procedures to ensure they comply with current legislation, accreditation requirements, French Language designation and organizational direction. Leads the HR preparation for the biweekly payroll cycle in collaboration with the Manager of Human Resources. Performs and supports benefits administration. Participates in developing and implementing the HR operational plan. Support for CEO and Board of Directors as required. Performs HR administrative duties and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



The qualifications required for this role include the following:

Undergraduate degree in HR or related discipline. CHRP designation is a strong asset. 3-5 years of HR experience. 2 years of experience with HRIS. Experience with Dayforce is a strong asset. Working knowledge of up-to-date human resources practices, trends, and legislation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications. English is essential. Bilingualism (English and French), and other languages are a strong asset.
