What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do:

  • Communicate and partner with cross border reporting lines across North America, identify opportunities for process changes, trainings, and support implementation of best practices in Canada.
  • Be available and act as the frontline to answer corporate and retail employee HR-related questions including acting as a liaison for Payroll and Benefits issues.
  • Support HR on-boarding, conduct new hire check-ins and support hiring managers to successfully onboard new employees.
  • Track and support training needs across Canada; develop/coordinate training programs in conjunction with L&D, HR Leadership and management.
  • Support and address employee relations/performance management issues inclusive of conducting internal investigations, partnership with Loss Prevention, and performing terminations in partnership with the Legal department.
  • Support HR leadership and business leaders with Annual Performance Review Process and Mid-Year Conversations.
  • Conduct exit interviews of voluntary terminations, report and analyze trends and help to recommend solutions.
  • Provide HR and change management support for companywide special projects and business initiatives.
  • Maintain and update organizational charts, open to hire reports, and manage special requests as it relates to HR reporting/organizational charts.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of policy and procedure to ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with immigration partners on employee visa management.
  • Support company-wide global HR initiatives; partner cross functionally with Centers of Expertise.
  • Support social and learning initiatives such as monthly Lunch & Learns, holiday team socials, etc.


You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need to Have:
  • Bilingual fluency in French & English
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
  • 2+ years of experience working in HR
  • Comfortable working in office (hybrid schedule)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word
  • Previous experience handling employee relations issues and dealing with (any) Canadian provincial labor laws
  • Positive, pro-active, and solutions oriented approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute within a team setting
  • Good written presentation, organization, and editing skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally and escalate issues when appropriate
