We are currently seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and people-focused HR Generalist to join our team in Calgary. This role is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys variety in their work, and is passionate about both people and safety.

What You'll Do

Human Resources Responsibilities

Coordinate full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer letters. Support onboarding and orientation for new team members, ensuring a strong introduction to Lux's culture and safety values. Maintain accurate employee files, HR documentation, and HRIS data. Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers on policies, benefits, and workplace practices. Assist with performance management processes, training coordination, and development initiatives. Support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and company events. Lead and contribute to HR projects such as process improvements, HRIS implementation, and policy updates. Ensure compliance with Alberta Employment Standards and HR best practices.
Safety Program Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a proactive, positive safety culture throughout the organization. Coordinate Lux's health and safety program in compliance with Alberta OHS legislation. Conduct and document safety orientations, inspections, and incident investigations. Track and report safety metrics; support WCB claims management and modified work programs. Maintain Lux's Certificate of Recognition (COR), including coordinating audits and documentation. Organize safety training, certifications, and committee meetings. Stay current with evolving safety regulations, standards, and best practices to strengthen Lux's safety program.

What You Bring

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing, construction, or trades environment. Experience supporting or leading safety initiatives and program administration would be considered an asset. Hands-on experience managing recruitment and onboarding processes, including candidate selection, orientation, and new hire integration. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and OHS regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS systems. A collaborative, approachable, and people-first mindset with a passion for building a positive and safe workplace culture.
