Job Description


If you love Human Resources and are looking for an engaging, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including managing employee relations, recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, and updating the employee handbook. The HR Generalist will report to the HR Manager and assist with developing and driving recruitment strategies to meet company growth goals.

Key responsibilities:

- Differentiate local, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures

- Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite

- Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors

- Responsible for operations tasks for the HR department

- Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters

- Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on internal procedures, HR policies, and regulations

- Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)

- Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews

- Manage employee relations, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employee

- Work with other members of the HR department to manage the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees

- Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections

- Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity

- Experience with full cycle recruiting

- We need someone who is highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity

- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

- Excellent written and verbal business skills

- Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

- Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms

- Proven understanding local, state and federal laws

- B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
