We are seeking an HR Coordinator to provide day-to-day support to the HR function. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of HR experience.
Key Responsibilities
Support the onboarding and offboarding process (contracts, orientation checklists, system setup).
Maintain accurate employee records and update the HRIS.
Prepare standard HR letters (employment verification, probation confirmation, policy sign-offs).
Post job advertisements, screen resumes, and coordinate interviews.
Conduct reference checks and support offer letter preparation.
Track vacation, sick, and floater days.
Assist with benefits enrollment and liaise with providers.
Maintain compliance documentation (training records, signed policies, certifications).
Provide first-line support for routine employee questions.
Support Health & Safety documentation and committee activities.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
1-2 years HR experience (internship, assistant, or coordinator role).
Familiarity with the Ontario Employment Standards Act (knowledge of AB/BC standards an asset).
Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with MS Office; experience with HRIS or payroll systems is an asset.
