Job Description


Based in Burlington, the Human Resource Coordinator provides general human resources administrative support with policies, programs and procedures. Administer biweekly payroll including month end balancing and reporting. Recommend process improvement and efficiencies within scope of responsibilities to enhance the human resources function. Assist management in implementing and optimizing culture and people programs to cultivate and sustain an environment where top talent wants to work.

Role+Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the HR Manager & line managers, assist with the recruitment and selection processes including updating position descriptions, preparing postings, screening resumes
  • Responsible for onboarding new hires including any related administrative activities
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable legislation including employment standards and OH&S
  • Support and promote corporate objectives and act as a resource to Management and associates
  • Bi-weekly payroll data collection and submittal to third party processor
  • Set up new employees in payroll, benefits, and other applications
  • Process payroll year end, submit annual remittances and adhere to legislative deadlines
  • Produce month end reporting including journal vouchers and cheque requisitions
  • Maintains HR information systems and keep employee files up to date and accurate
  • Administers the company\'s fleet vehicles including vehicle assignments, credit cards, maintenance, leasing and year end taxable benefit reporting
  • Address employees\' HR or Payroll related questions and inquiries in a timely manner

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (office, excel etc)
