HR Consultant

HR @ Your Services supports small to medium size workplaces across Canada. We provide support all facets of human resources and support organizations in building solid HR foundational programs that are customized to meet their workplace culture. We do this through offering retained human resources support, completing HR projects and through our HR On Call system.

Success in this role requires the ability to develop client relationships, share your human resource expertise and provide practical HR solutions and support. You will be able to adapt to the various workplaces of our clients, work autonomously and change direction or pivot as required to meet client\'s needs. The ability to collaborate with team members and across divisions is essential to ensure the highest levels of customer service.

The HR Consultant is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to apply their career expertise to our clients as they build human resources and people solutions.

As the HR Consultant you will be responsible for:

  • Work in a variety of HR disciplines such as policies and procedures development, employee relations, disability management, performance coaching & management, talent management onboarding and orientation.
  • Managing a portfolio of multiple concurrent engagements and ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency.
  • Providing leadership on client engagements through coaching, assessing HR needs and providing guidance on how to develop and enhance their HR practices.
  • Identifying and resolving issues critical to your client\'s success.
  • Supporting the HR OnCall as required, receive ad hoc requests for HR expertise and project support.
You and Your Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years\' experience in an HR role touching various disciplines of HR. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Post-secondary education in HR including relevant work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment-related legislation and labour laws with sound experience implementing HR best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills with experience in conflict resolution.
  • You are influential and can connect well with all levels of professionals from colleagues to C-Suite clients.
  • You take pride and ownership in the delivery of high-quality work for clients.
  • You have strong business acumen and are an expert communicator and presenter.
  • You thrive on being an integral part of an organization\'s growth and development.
  • Bilingual (English/French) would be considered an asset.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CPHR) designation would be considered an asset.
