Your Opportunity:As the Human Resources Advisor, you will be responsible for providing proactive human resources consultation advice and services to Alberta Health Services management staff within an assigned client group. You will support clients by coordinating, advising, and providing direction on a variety of human resource functions and related operations to enable attraction and retention of a qualified and suitable workforce. In order to be effective in this role, you will have a proven track record of fostering and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with AHS managers, HR networks and service centres, and Union representatives. You are adaptable, and can work as effectively independently as you can in collaboration with others. You will interpret client needs, assess requirements and identify solutions to non-standard issues and requests including engagement of Human Resources specialists as required.Description:AHS consists of a unionized (in-scope) and non-union (exempt) employee workforce, where you will need to be familiar with processes for both employee groups. You have a clear understanding of employee and labour relations; performance management; ability management; grievance management; and interpretation of collective agreements. In addition you will also provide consultation on talent management, job classification and compensation in addition to other related HR tasks, duties and responsibilities.
