As an HR Business Partner for Loblaw's Edmonton and Winnipeg Distribution Centres, you'll be a strategic partner to leaders, championing talent development, driving diversity and inclusion initiatives, and ensuring our supply chain thrives.


This pivotal role involves collaborating directly with Distribution Centre (DC) leaders and their teams to define and implement people strategies that align with business plans and company values. You will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by providing comprehensive generalist expertise across Labour Relations and various HR functions. This represents an exceptional growth opportunity for an experienced HR professional seeking to transition into a strategic HR Business Partner role, or for someone with proven HR generalist expertise ready for their next challenge.

This role is based at our Edmonton Distribution Centre and requires approximately 30-40% travel, including monthly visits to the Winnipeg Distribution Centre and occasional trips to Toronto.



What You'll Do:



Proven influencer and collaborator, with the ability to provide guidance and support in all areas of Labour Relations and Human Resource Management to business clients Practices effective relationship management to elevate working relationships with internal client groups, including managers, senior leaders, and employees Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the core HR competencies including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, employment law, organizational development, talent development and training, mentoring/coaching/facilitation, recruitment and workforce planning and an overall understanding of HR policies and programs and other terms and conditions of employment, along with an understanding of HR best practices Distinguished as a business partner who learns the business and takes an active interest in continually enhancing your business acumen Proactively identify strategic issues and provide advice and expertise to help develop creative solutions Developed skills in coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution and change management Valued for your agility and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Adaptability to rapidly changing demands Develops and implements HR-related projects and participates as a team member on special projects as needed Recognized for your learning mindset, initiative, and ability to understand the business and challenges, and new and innovative approaches that result in improvements in team engagement, productivity, and organizational performance Serves as a workforce champion and promotes a positive work environment and employee experience Regarded as an exceptional communicator and able to influence a broad and diverse range of stakeholders through building effective relationships, verbal, and written communication

Equivalent combination of education and human resources experience; achievement of CHRP designation or post graduate degree preferred 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated knowledge in the area of client relation management Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information Solid computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint required Highly motivated, self-starter, requiring little direction Travel Required
