A Branch Representative is a key person within the human resources function of an organization. Principally, the Branch Representative is responsible for the day-to-day management of HR operations, which means that they manage the administration of the policies, procedures and programs of the organization.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
o
Personal and professional development of the organization's personnel, which involves employee development and training.
o
Respond to internal and external HR related inquires in a professional and timely manner.
o
Ensure compliance with current Employment Standards, HR principals, and the organization's practices and policies.
o
Advise the organization of any new, changes to existing, and relevant legislation.
o
Complete monthly reports accurately, and within required timelines.
o
Employee welfare, safety, wellness and health and counselling.
o
Development and implementation of policy documents and handbooks that can be referred to by employees.
o
Act as a resource to Managers on issues relating to policy and employee relations.
o
Performance management working closely with senior management within the organization.
o
Assist with creating letters/memos, maintain manual and computerize filing, HRIS, web based systems and compile/prepare reports.
o
Conduct exit interviews and onboarding follow-ups.
o
Perform related clerical, technical, administrative, and other office duties as required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
o
Have a clear Criminal Record Check.
o
Sign the Confidentiality Agreement during Orientation.
o
Ability to analyze and present information in such a way that is understood by everyone within the organization.
o
Extremely well organized and methodical in your approach to problem solving and be able to manage filing/database systems.
o
Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills with a focus on customer service.
o
Strong understanding of Alberta Employment Standards and Human Rights.
o
Understand the legalists of business law in relation to HR and employee employment rights and how to apply them within your day-to-day work, company policy documentation and staff.
o
Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work in high pressure situations.
o
Must be able to operate Microsoft Office and be familiar with any other software pertinent.
o
Human Resources or related Degree.
o
5 plus years' experience in a Human Resources setting
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Branch Representative will work in an office environment and is required to work 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. While adhering to the Enoch Cree Nation Human Resources Policy & Procedure Manual.
