Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Assistant to support day-to-day human resources and payroll functions. The ideal candidate has experience with onboarding, offboarding, full-cycle HR administration, payroll support, and a solid understanding of BC employment standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including contracts, documentation, and checklists
Maintain accurate employee records and HR files
Support payroll processing, including hours tracking, vacation/stat holiday calculations, and ROEs
Ensure compliance with the BC Employment Standards Act (wages, overtime, leaves, vacation, sick time)
Assist with recruitment administration (job postings, interview scheduling, offer letters)
Support benefits administration and employee inquiries
Assist with HR reporting and general administrative tasks
Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications
1-2+ years experience in an HR Assistant, HR Administrator, or similar role
Experience with full-cycle HR, onboarding/offboarding, and payroll support
Working knowledge of BC employment rules and payroll requirements
Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (ie UKG) is an asset
Post-secondary education in HR, Business, or related field preferred
CPHR or working toward CPHR is an asset (not required)
