Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for recruitment and staffing, leave approvals, attendance management, maintaining information in the HRIS database, coordinating appraisal and evaluation processes, compiling seniority reports, and performing other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with collective agreements and policy in providing advice to management and staff regarding benefit entitlements, leave usage, workplace accommodation, disability management, recruitment and seniority and other duties as required. This position requires some degree of decision making as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and manage sensitive and confidential issues with professionalism is required. Candidates should possess a thorough knowledge of human resources practices and have at least two years of progressively responsible human resources experience, preferably in attendance management. These qualifications would normally be acquired through the completion of a Diploma/Certificate business administration program, with a concentration in human resources.
