The Opportunity
We are looking for a Fractional / On-Demand HR Manager to work with us on a, flexible, or hourly basis.
This role is
not
a full-time position.
This is a
hands-on, operational HR role
focused on:
Performance management
Employee accountability
KPIs
Discipline
Documentation
Conflict management
Structure and process
You will act as a neutral authority between ownership and staff, helping professionalize the company.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Management & KPIs
Design KPIs and performance metrics for each department:
Sales
Front desk / administration
Warehouse
Marketing / IT
Operations
Implement simple performance tracking systems
Conduct monthly or bi-monthly performance reviews
Report directly to ownership with:
Issues
Red flags
Improvement plans
Recommendations
Employee Relations & Discipline
Handle:
Performance issues
Attitude and behavior issues
Conflicts between staff
Repeated mistakes
Lead:
Verbal warnings
Written warnings
Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
Termination processes when required
Act as a neutral third party
HR Structure & Systems
Review and improve:
Job descriptions
Roles & responsibilities
Policies & procedures
Create:
Clear expectations per role
Accountability frameworks
Documentation standards
Ensure company is legally protected through proper HR documentation and process
On-Call Advisory
Be available when:
Serious employee issues arise
Conflicts escalate
Management needs guidance before taking action
What We Are Looking For
7+ years experience in HR, people management, or HR consulting
Experience working with:
Small to mid-sized businesses
Blue-collar / operational environments (warehouse, sales, distribution, manufacturing, etc.)
Strong In:
Performance management systems
Conflict resolution
Employment law (Ontario)
Documentation and compliance
Job Types: Casual, Freelance
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
