: Supporting HR Operations - All Gold's Gym Calgary Locations (Five)

Position Summary



We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Assistant to provide

administrative and operational support to the COO and HR Manager in managing HR

functions across five Gold's Gym locations in Calgary. This role will assist with day-to-

day HR operations, including recruitment support, payroll coordination, benefits

administration, employee relations, compliance documentation, and general

administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, eager to learn, and

able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Major Responsibilities (including but not limited to):



HR and Employee Support



? Assist with maintaining updated job descriptions and job requirements.

? Support recruitment efforts by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and

conducting reference checks.

? Prepare onboarding documents and assist with new hire orientation.

? Help maintain accurate employee records (digital and physical files).

? Draft basic HR letters (employment letters, confirmation letters, reference letters)

? Assist with scheduling and documenting Joint Health & Safety Committee

(JHSC) meetings.

? Support HR investigations by organizing documents and taking notes during

meetings.

? Provide general administrative support for employee inquiries regarding HR

policies, payroll, and benefits.

Payroll &Benefits Administration



? Enter and update employee data in the ADP payroll system.

? Resolve payroll discrepancies by coordinating with ADP and staff.

? Support Manulife benefits administration, including staff enrollment, claim

tracking, and responding to employee inquiries.

? Generate payroll and HR-related reports for review by the HR Manager and

COO.

? Assist COO and HR Manager in semi-monthly payroll

Compliance & Coordination



? Assist in monitoring compliance with labor laws, AHS regulations, and company

policies.

? Help with preparing and filing HR documentation required by Service Canada

and other regulatory bodies.

? Maintain organized HR records to support audits and compliance checks.

COO and Management Support



? Provide administrative assistance to the COO, including scheduling,

correspondence, and preparing reports.

? Support the COO in organizing meetings, drafting communications, and following

up on action items.

? Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and documentation for senior

leadership.

? Perform other duties as assigned by the COO and HR Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements



? Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or

a related field (or equivalent work experience).

? ADP payroll system experience is a must.

? 1-2 years of HR, administrative, or office support experience preferred.

? Basic understanding of Alberta labor laws and HR best practices (training will be

provided).

? Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

? Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle

confidential information discreetly.

? Willingness to learn and grow within the HR function.to grow within our organization.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
